About Us

The Cotswold Explorer began as a food and drink talk show on the local television channel, That’s Oxfordshire. Presented by Robin Shuckburgh and directed by Ross Arrowsmith, our aim is to provide interesting insights into the history of the Cotswolds, and introduce you to some of the wonderful food and drink producers here. On a regular basis Robin learns to cook with Alexis Thompson from the Dancing Trousers Cookery School, and we’ll be exploring Robin’s home village of Bampton, the village used as Downton in Downton Abbey.
