Welcome to the Documentary Show about the History of the Cotswolds…

About Us

The Cotswold Explorer began as a food and drink talk show on the local television channel, That’s Oxfordshire. Presented by Robin Shuckburgh and directed by Ross Arrowsmith, following in the Trail of Herbert Evans, who wrote a book called ‘the Highways and Byways in Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds’, published in 1905, one hundred and fourteen years ago. Our aim is to provide interesting insights into the history of the Cotswolds, and introduce you to some of the wonderful food and drink producers here. We have a number of programmes including our Exploring the Cotswolds series, feature episodes about the filming of Downton Abbey in Bampton, as well as videos from local food and drink events.
